Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala:KCCA Leopards (#3) and Tomahawks (#5). KCCA Leopards (7-2) crushed visiting Tomahawks (4-4) by 22 points 66-44 . KCCA Leopards held Tomahawks to an opponent 20.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.4 percent accuracy of the winners. KCCA Leopards forced 23 Tomahawks turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The former international guard Tracy Namugosa (170-2000) nailed 30 points and 6 steals for the winning side and Burundian guard Ninette Uwineza (-1988) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Ruth Letaru (-1997) came up with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Stella Lunkuse (-1998) added 4 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Tomahawks in the defeat. Tomahawks' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for KCCA Leopards . They moved-up to second place. Tomahawks at the other side keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with She Crocs and Peal Queens.
