Regular Season Round 6: Azomco - Kepler 52-80

Another interesting game was again a derby match of two local teams from Kigali:Kepler (#4) and Azomco (#5). Azomco was smashed at home by 28 points 52-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Kepler forced 22 Azomco turnovers and outrebounded them 54-28 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. DR Congolese center Aichata Traore (185-2005) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kepler players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ange Uwiringiyimana who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Ange Umuhamya (164-2003) added 21 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kepler (4-1) moved-up to second place. Loser Azomco keeps the fifth position with three games lost.
