The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:REG (#1) and APR (#3). REG (6-0) won against visiting APR (4-2) 66-60 . REG forced 23 APR turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Chantal Ramu (170-2000) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international center Charlotte Umugwaneza (195-1984) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) scored 14 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. REG have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. APR at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost.
