Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:REG (#1) and Azomco (#5). REG (4-0) smashed visiting Azomco (0-2) by 17 points 82-65 . REG forced 21 Azomco turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nandy Uwitonze (-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Odile Tetero (162-1998) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four REG players scored in double figures. At the losing side Burundian center Santhiana Izere (-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ange Uwiringiyimana scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. REG have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Loser Azomco still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Gahini.
