It was an exceptional evening for Senegalese point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-2000) who led the winners and scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). DR Congolese power forward Garmine Kande (205-1999, agency: Helping Ballers) accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Burundian center Mohamed Doumbya (-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and French-Central African power forward Steven-Emile Perriere (203-1995, college: LMU) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists respectively forUGB in the defeat. Four REG and five UGB players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
