Al Ittihad Al. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Al Ahly 's players. It was a good game for the former international center Anas Mahmoud (214-1995, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 blocks. American guard Pierre Jackson (180-1991, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. Al Ittihad Al.'s coach Oscar Quintana used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
