Alexandria outrebounded Heliopolis 59-39 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Hala El-Shaarawy (185-1993, college: St.Peter's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Nouralla Abdelalim (184-1997) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Alexandria players scored in double figures. Alexandria's coach Amr Elsebakhy felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international guard Alia El Shabrawy (160-2001) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Nada Merssal (182-1995) scored 2 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks.
