Al Ahly dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to NBEC 's 28. Al Ahly forced 23 NBEC turnovers and outrebounded them 51-27 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al Ahly looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Raneem Elgedawy (193-1997, college: WKU) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. The former international guard Nadine Soliman (178-1998, college: UNCG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Ahly's coach Tarek Abouzeid used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Farida Youssef (166-2003) produced 24 points and 9 assists and forward Huda Alaa (180) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four NBEC players scored in double figures.
