The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Cairo:Heliopolis (#5) and Al Geish (#4). Heliopolis (8-3) won against visiting Al Geish (7-2) 80-73 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Geish. They outrebounded Al Geish 46-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Mahmoud Shershaby who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. Ayman Rasmy contributed with 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Heliopolis players scored in double figures. Emad Raafat answered with 13 points and Amr Kareem added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Al Geish. Al Geish's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Heliopolis have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Al Geish at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost.
