Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both second ranked TunisianUS Monastir and one of their biggest challengers Cape Verdean Kriol S. had identical 1-1 record. This time US Monastir used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Praia 88-72 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. US Monastir looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard PJ Hardy (185-1998, college: Louisiana) fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. The other American import swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-1988, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Four US Monastir players scored in double figures. Portuguese-Cape Verdean Ivan Almeida (197-1989, college: Stonehill) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Tunisian champion (2-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with ASCVD. Kriol S. at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with P.Luanda.
