Zimbabwe National Men's basketball team is ready to tackle Southern African giants in Afro Basket (African Basketball) qualifiers, says the team coach Emmanuel Mukandi.
The team will be looking forward to qualify for their second time consecutively from their maiden appearance two years ago.
Zimbabwe and Zambia will host the 2017 Afro Basket qualifiers for eight participating countries in region 6 and 7 of Federation of International Basketball Association, (FIBA).
The actual continental tournament will be held in Congo's capital Brazzaville later this year.
Afro Basket is the continental body which governs basketball affairs in Africa.
The tournament FIBA African Championships, which is held after every two years, is also called AfroBasket.
FIBA is the World governing body.
Zimbabwe is grouped together with Mozambique, Seychelles and Botswana in group H while Angola, Zambia, Madagascar and South Africa are in group G.
Zambia will host group G from 12 to 18 March while Zimbabwe will host group H from 19 to 25 March.
