Senegal continue their winning streak at the 2013 AfroBasket. They improved to 3-0 record in Group A after a 123:45 win over Zimbabwe. The latter fell at 0-3 record on the bottom of the group.
Senegal erupted with a 33-11 surge in the first period and dominated the rest of the game. They added 27-9 rally in the second period and led 60:20 at the halftime. Senegal posted a 36-15 burst in the third period and then finished the game with a massive 27-10.
Diodio Diouf (170-G-84) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Oumoul Thiam (182-G-90) notched 18. Aya Traore (186-F-83, agency: Regeneracom Sports, college: Purdue) poured in 16, while Astou Traore (182-F/C-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) had 15. Dorcas Marondera (PF-90) ended up with 12 points in a loss, whilst Sharon Chamwarura (SG-93) brought 11. Fadzai Mabasa (170-F/G-83) finished the game with 7, whilst Cleopatra Manda (SG-86) and Margaret Kanyimo (165-PG-89) shot 4 each.
