Varsity Leopardess withdraw from FIBA zone VI Club tourney

Varsity Leopards womens basketball team will not take part in the International Basketball Federation Zone VI Club championships that kick off Friday in Mozambique.
The team is reported to have withdrawn due to the lack of funds to permit them travel. Three days to the start of the events, Cameo men and JBC women are yet to secure some funding for their trip. Presently, Mercenaries of Mutare in Zimbabwe are the only ones sure to make it. It should be recalled that the varsity leopardess last month ended a training camp in South Africa ahead of the Mozambique rendezvous.
