Giants (Zim) win Troopers International Invitational

The battle with Police Ladies (Basketball Botswana league champions) was criminal as the game had a contraversial end. An extra minute had to be played since there was a confusion regarding the length of play, but Legends were victorious by a basket. Then came the test of speed and strength against the newly formed Panthers who dragged the game into double over time. Excitement, rivary and all things we enjoy most about playing basketball came to light as Legends beat Panthers by a point.

Lakers tried to pulled the Legends down, thinking that the experiened team would fall as far as the others they faced at the tournament. With less than half the fitness level of their opponents and operating at only a quarter of their potential skill, Legends held on against the Lakers not allowing them the large margins they had become accustomed to. It was David and Goliath when Legends faced the Giants. Brut strength verses agility as Legends lost valiantly to the tournament champions. We look forward to a rematch later on this year whenr the LEGENDS of Basketball take on the Zim GIANTS once more.
