Biggest game for Zimbabwean basketball is the clash between the women's senior team against South Africa in a 2 game series with the prize to the winner of a trip to the Africa Nations Cup. We are made to understand that South Africa were the only Zone VI team to confirm. Given the last time these 2 teams squared up Zimbabwe were victorious and earned a wild card to the Africa Games in Tunisia. In our favour the South Africans would not be able to bring their USA college based players as it is March Madness in the American Collegiate circuit the NCAA and NIAI. But South Africa has the resources and depending on how serious they are about this tournament we could be in for a rough time. Zimbabwe's biggest obstacle would be their preparations which have been limited to just 5 days.
