In the women's league the Golden Girls, Real Returners have an opportunity to move up the log as they will do battle with Glen Norah based Pistons. Returners' Chido Gutuu, Jeanso Makanda, Sue Kamukai and Beauty Masenda should be 'large' enough to give the young pesky Pistons a run for their money. But then this is a Sunday game and Returners don't do Sunday very well. Pistons is a well balanced team but they play better when point guard Yolanda Matayitayi is on song. Her combination with fellow Roosevelt High School stars Sharon Chamwarura, Tania Barros and Ethel Shabba give Pistons a strong backbone. Pistons obvious advantage will be presence of a coach, shrewd disciplinarian Forward Mazadza a product of the Hoops 4 Hope program. Returners do not have a coach and journeyman Anna Mguni is filling in quite well as she heals her injured knee. Fan and team favourite Kundai 'KJ' Masenda is unavailable for a while as she tends to her recuperating son and her presence is sorely missed both by her teammates and the entire basketball fraternity.

Other women's games will feature major mismatches where JBC should roll all over Golden Spurs and Stanbic Mavericks should be too much for UZ Stars women. Varsity Leopards should be a little too much for Kingdom Cavaliers women although Cavaliers of late have shown great fighting spirit. But in this one Cavs is out-matched, out-gunned and out-skilled.
