Nets win Hot Spurs Kananda, Nyikavaranda leave the team.

After the painful loss to the Shells, the Nets won Hot Spurs 87-63 Saturday the 15th August 2009 at the National Sports Development Center. With Mwandu Kabeke joining the team from Rim Oilers, the Nets maintained a ten point led is the first quarter of the game with score of 22-12. By half time the Nets were unstoppable sticking to their half court man-to-man defense. In the last two quarters of the game Hot Spurs unleashed very impressive defensive rebounds from Rutendo Bobo who was out for 3yrs and now is back playing for the spurs. At the end of the day the nets carried the day.

On the other hand Tara Nyikavaranda and Lily Kananda have left the Nets due to personal reasons. Tara has moved to LCC Lotresses while Lily is club less.
Nets play Rim Oilers next on the 19th on September, 2009.
