Nets women defeat Green Buffaloes, 62-53.
Meeting for the first time in the league, Nets defeated Green Buffaloes by 10points at the National Sports Development Center (NASDEC) this afternoon.
Coach Allan Shawa started the game with Carol shumba, Magunhu Nhova, Lily Kananda, Cecilia Munemo and Maggie Mwape in the first quarter respectively.
By the end of the first quarter the nets were up with 21ponits while their opponents only managed to push 6 baskets on the score board. With the introduction of Mildred Chinkumbi the Nets maintained the lead and the crowd could not help but cheer.
In the second half of the game the Green Buffaloes played their usual man-to-man defense but Coach Allan used his small quick players to contain the pressure that lead to the Nets carrying the day with the final of score 62-53.
The Nets maintain the top slot of the (ZBA) Zambia Basketball Association score board with 6 points.
