Nets women win their first league game.

After taking home the ZBA opening trophy the 2009 National Champions Nets record two points on their first league game against the Rim Oilers of Munali. The rescheduled game which was played on the 24th of April 2009 last Friday night was one sided.

The Nets were up by six points in the first quarter and the Oilers managed to push in two baskets with the introduction of Mufawena Lubinda. The Nets lead all the way through the enter game and also received team work from Debrah Chikalekale and Carol Shuumba. The nets won by 63-41.

On the other female game the Shells could not manage to contain Pamela Mukonde of Green Buffaloes in the game that was played Saturday afternoon on the 25th of April. After the Shells making Army team run for their money, they ended up losing by half a point.

The Nets take on Hotspurs on Friday the 1st of May while ZBA begins trials for under 16 zone six games set in Zimbabwe mid this year.
