Ekau number one in Uganda NBL for round 31

Edrine Ekau (2006) had an amazing evening in the last round for Rezlife Saints, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 19-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, four rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat KCCA P. (#7, 11-10) 74-63. Rezlife S. maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Rezlife S. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 17-4 record. In the team's last game Ekau had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Rezlife S., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Edrine Ekau has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 17.1ppg. Ekau is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.2spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Peter Sifuma (C-1996) of JT Jaguars BC. Sifuma had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 27 rebounds. Bad luck as Jaguars lost that game 71-77 to the higher-ranked Victoria Crocs (#5, 11-10). Jaguars is still in a red zone at 8th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-14 record. Sifuma is one of the most experienced players at Jaguars and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Mark Ngobi of Victoria Crocs (#5). Ngobi showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Victoria Crocs, leading his team to a 77-71 win against the lower-ranked Jaguars (#8, 6-14). Victoria Crocs needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 10 lost games. Ngobi has a great season in Uganda. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (3rd best) and assists with 3.3apg (8th best).
