The standout guard Brenda Ekone was named the Player of the Year of the championship-winning Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. She received multiple other awards, was voted the Guard of the Year and was selected to the First Team. With Ekone's excellent performance, the Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 21 to 1 in the regular season. Ekone's excellent performance assisted her team in beating the UCU Ladies 4 to 2 in the final series. She was previously selected as the Guard of the Year, and chosen to the First Team back in 2018 and Second Team three times in the past. Ekone averaged over 3 rebounds per game in the league. She was the Player of the Week honoree in the league. Ekone led the NBL in points per game with over 17. She has totalled 12 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 2 games. Ekone's 36 points against the Kampala Lady University were the most she scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards she won the Ugandan League championship title in 2023. She was also best scorer in the league last season when she scored almost 18 points per game.
The standout power forward Hope Akello was honored as the Finals MVP of the championship-winning Just Kip Living Lady Dolphins. She collected multiple other honors, earned the Center of the Year and was named to the First Team. Akello's excellent performance assisted her team in beating the UCU Ladies 4 to 2 in the final series. She previously picked up the Player of the Year, Forward of the Year back in 2019 and 2023, earned a spot in the First Team three times in the past and Finals MVP back in 2022 and 2023. Akello received Player of the Week award twice during the 24 campaign. Her masterful distribution skills earned her the fourth spot in rebounds per game with an impressive average of 11. Akello also registered almost 12 points per game that season in the league. She has totalled 4 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in 14 games on the year. Akello's 23 points against the UCU Ladies were the most she scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards she won the Ugandan League championship title in 2018, 2019 and 2023.
Sarah Ageno, 27-year old forward from the JT Lady Jaguars, was named the Forward of the Year at the National Basketball League. She was also voted to the First Team. Ageno was previously named to Honorable Mention back in 2018 and selected to the First Team back in 2019 and 2023. She was voted Player of the Week in the league. Ageno's court vision was unparalleled as she secured the third spot in rebounds per game, delivering an average of over 11. She also recorded over 10 points per game over the season in the league. Ageno logged double-doubles in 6 games at the event. Her 17 points against the Miracle were the most she scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards she played in the final of the Ugandan League for two years in a row (2018 and 2019).
Shakirah Nanvubya, 23-year old swingman from the UCU Lady Canons, was chosen to the First Team of National Basketball League. With Nanvubya's excellent performance, the UCU Lady Canons achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 18 to 4 in the regular season. Her best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately lost against the JKL Dolphins 2 to 4. Nanvubya averaged over 10 points and 4 rebounds per game in the league. She has totalled 4 games of 20 or more points and registered double-doubles in 2 games on the year. Nanvubya's 25 points against the Lady Tomahawks were the most she scored in the 2024 season. She won the Ugandan League championship title in 2022.
Mercy Batamuliza, forward from the JT Lady Jaguars, was named to the First Team at the National Basketball League. She previously earned a spot in the Second Team last year. Batamuliza notched over 7 points per game that season in the league. She led the NBL in rebounds per game with almost 15. Batamuliza recorded double-doubles in 8 games at the event. Her 17 points against the A1 Challenge were the most she scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards she was selected to the Afrobasket All-Ugandan Second Team in 2023.
