The Regular Season in NBL just ended. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Bottom-ranked Our Saviour is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to ninth ranked KCCA Lions (4-8) 83-72 on Saturday evening. KCCA Lions outrebounded Our Saviour 44-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Power forward Francis Mbuyi orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Kenyan guard Geofrey Omondi (203-80) contributed with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. KCCA Lions' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maker Mayen answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for Our Saviour. KCCA Lions moved-up to eighth place. Our Saviour at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
Ninth-ranked Sharing Youth (3-7) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked JKL Dolphins (7-3) in Kampala. JKL Dolphins managed to secure only two-point victory 53-51. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for center Daniel Monoja (197-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Daniel Orenga helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Stephan Otoa (-88) responded with 9 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. JKL Dolphins maintains fifth place with 7-3 record. Sharing Youth lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost.
The game between second ranked Warriors (9-2) and 7th ranked Ndejje Angels (6-5) in Kampala on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Warriors outscored guests from 72-41. It was a quality performance for Chris Omanye who led the winners and scored 13 points and 5 assists. Derrick Katumba came up with 6 points and 10 rebounds for Ndejje Angels in the defeat. Ndejje Angels' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Warriors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-2 record behind leader UCU Canons. Ndejje Angels lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Falcons (#10) and Kampala (#11). Kampala was defeated at home 74-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The best player for the winners was Dickson Asiku who scored 26 points. Falcons' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Falcons maintains tenth place with 3-9 record. Kampala lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost.

The most impressive performance of 11th round was 10 points and 5 rebounds by Daniel Gaaki of Warriors.



Kampala - Falcons 74-81

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala: Falcons (#10) and Kampala (#11). Kampala was defeated at home 74-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Falcons forced 23 Kampala turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Dickson Asiku who scored 26 points. Center Andrew Opio chipped in 7 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals. Falcons' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Joram Kato produced 20 points and guard Ahmed Kassa added 21 points respectively for the hosts. Falcons maintains tenth place with 3-9 record. Kampala lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost.

Center Phillip Ameny (C-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for Betway Power, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kampala: UCU Canons (#1) and JKL Dolphins (#5). JKL Dolphins were smashed at home by 26 points 54-80 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of JKL Dolphins. Francis Mbuyi (C/F) had an amazing evening in the last round for KCCA Lions and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
