Amisi Saidi
DR Congolese Power forward Amisi Saidi (F/C-87) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Warriors, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Sharing Youth (#9, 2-7) with 32-point margin 74-42. Warriors maintains the 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. Warriors would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 8-1 record. Saidi has many years of experience at Warriors, through which he has constantly improved. Amisi Saidi averages just after three games 12.0ppg and 10.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old international guard Syrus Kiviiri (G-88) of BETWAY POWER BASKETBALL CLUBBPW. Kiviiri had a very good evening with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Betway Power to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Falcons (#10, 2-8) 111-50. This victory allowed Betway Power to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kiviiri is one of the most experienced players at Betway Power and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 4.1rpg and 3.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Caesar Kizito (F-88) of Sharing Youth (#9). Kizito scored 28 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Kizito's great performance Sharing Youth lost 56-58 to the higher-ranked UCU Canons (#1, 8-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Sharing Youth can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-7 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Kizito he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Kizito has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Andrew Gang (F/G-96) of KCCA Lions - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
