James Okello
Former international Power forward James Okello (194-PF-90) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked City Oilers, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed Charging Rhinos (#11, 5-16) with 32-point margin 96-64. City Oilers is placed at 2nd position in Ugandan NBL. They are still close to the very top. City Oilers would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 16-4 record. Okello has many years of experience at City Oilers, through which he has constantly improved. James Okello has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 7.4rpg) and averages impressive 56.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another City Oilers' star - 23-year old Burundian Landry Ndikumana (198-F-95). Ndikumana had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Of course together with Okello he helped City Oilers with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked UPDF (#12, 4-16) 85-44. This victory allowed City Oilers to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 16 matches. Ndikumana is one of the most experienced players at City Oilers and similarly like James Okello has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.5ppg (#2). He also registered 10.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Salim Kisily (F) of Ndejje Angels (#7). Kisily scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Ndejje Angels, leading his team to a 76-56 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Our Saviour (#9, 7-10). The chances of Ndejje Angels ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kisily could help Ndejje Angels to bring them higher in the standings. Kisily has a very solid season. In 15 games in Uganda he scored 8.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Syrus Kiviiri (G-88) of Pemba Warriors - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

8. Jonathan Egau (190-F-93) of City Oilers - 9 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Tonny Okello (G-90) of Sharing Youth - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
