23-year old center Sulaiman Bbaale (C-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Betway Power and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed UPDF (#12, 4-15) with 32-point margin 85-53. It allowed Betway Power to consolidate first place in the Ugandan league. Betway Power have a solid 17-3 record. In the team's last game Bbaale had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Betway Power and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Sulaiman Bbaale averages this season 6.5ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Derrick Isiko (C-97) of UCU Canons. He is a center in his 2nd season at UCU Canons. In the last game Isiko recorded impressive 19 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for UCU Canons to edge the lower-ranked Ndejje (#8, 7-9) by 3 points 62-59. UCU Canons' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Isiko is well-known at UCU Canons and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to another UCU Canons' star - forward Fadhili Chuma (F-95). Chuma scored 17 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of UCU Canons, helping his team with a 62-59 win against the lower-ranked Ndejje (#8, 7-9). UCU Canons needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 7 lost games. Chuma has a great season in Uganda. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.1rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Derrick Katumba (194-F-93) of Ndejje - 17 points and 7 rebounds
5. Caesar Kizito (F-88) of Sharing Youth - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
6. James Okello (194-PF-90) of City Oilers - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Abel Omomgin (F-89) of Charging Rhinos - 20 points and 5 rebounds
8. Ferdinand Odama (158-F-95) of JKL Dolphins - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Yesman Bushiri (PG) of JKL Dolphins - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Landry Ndikumana (198-F-95) of City Oilers - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over.
