CHRIS OMANYE

Guard Chris Omanye (183-G-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for KIU TITANSKIU, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed UPDF (#12, 4-14) with 30-point margin 102-72. KIU Titans maintains the 3rd position in Ugandan NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. KIU Titans will need more victories to improve their 13-4 record. Omanye has many years of experience at KIU Titans, through which he has constantly improved. Chris Omanye has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 13.0ppg) and averages impressive 52.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Amisi Saidi (F-87) of PEMBA WARRIORSWAR. Saidi had a very good evening with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Pemba Warriors lost that game 77-83 to slightly higher-ranked City Oilers (#2, 13-3). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Pemba Warriors still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 9-6 record is not bad at all. Saidi is one of the most experienced players at Pemba Warriors and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.5ppg (#7). He also registered 7.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Joseph Wacha (G-91) of Our Saviour (#7). Wacha showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Our Saviour, leading his team to a 74-42 easy win against the lower-ranked UPDF (#12, 4-14). Our Saviour needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 7 lost games. Wacha has a great season in Uganda. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.6ppg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Landry Ndikumana (198-F-95) of City Oilers - 15 points and 17 rebounds
