Brian Namake
Brian Namake (F-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for JKL Dolphins and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old forward had the game-high 18 points adding six rebounds and five assists for JKL Dolphins in his team's victory, helping them to crush Sharing Youth (#6, 4-3) with 18-point margin 71-53. JKL Dolphins maintains the 8th position in Ugandan NBL. JKL Dolphins is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. In the team's last game Namake had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at JKL Dolphins, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Namake has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 15.0ppg), assists (5th best: 3.5apg) and averages solid 52.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Bernard Okumu of UPDF. Okumu impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as UPDF lost that game 79-84 to league's leader Betway Power (#1, 8-0). UPDF are still at the very bottom. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory UPDF managed to get this year. Okumu is one of the most experienced players at UPDF and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another UPDF's star - Felix Mukunzi (193-F/G). Mukunzi scored 23 points. Despite Mukunzi's great performance UPDF lost 79-84 to the league's current leader Betway Power (#1, 8-0). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. UPDF can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-8 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Mukunzi he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Mukunzi has individually a great season in Uganda. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.1ppg (5th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Fadhili Chuma (F-95) of UCU Canons - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Abel Omomgin (F-89) of Charging Rhinos - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Caesar Kizito (F-88) of Sharing Youth - 14 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
