There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in NBL. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Undefeated leader Betway Power delivered the eighth consecutive win on Friday night. This time they beat 7th ranked UCU Canons (3-4) 69-60. Betway Power forced 24 UCU Canons turnovers. The best player for the winners was Athiu Madol who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Phillip Ameny chipped in 15 points. Betway Power's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. David Kongor produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Undefeated Betway Power (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. UCU Canons at the other side keep the seventh position with four games lost. Betway Power's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .

The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Betway Power. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. UPDF lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Betway Power's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
The game with biggest result difference took place in . Local Sharing Youth (4-3) lost to eighth ranked JKL Dolphins (3-5) 71-53 on Sunday night. Brian Namake stepped up and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Emmanuel Okumu responded with 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JKL Dolphins maintains eighth place with 3-5 record. Loser Sharing Youth keeps the sixth position with three games lost. JKL Dolphins will meet at home higher ranked UCU Canons (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sharing Youth will play against Pemba Warriors in Kampala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games of round 5 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Charging Rhinos defeated UPDF in Kampala 65-61. JKL Dolphins beat KCC Lions at home 76-60. Ndejje won against Charging Rhinos on the opponent's court 73-60. Bottom-ranked UPDF unfortunately lost to Sharing Youth in a home game 58-64. Pemba Warriors recorded a loss to Our Saviour on the road 36-51. UCU Canons defeated Charging Rhinos on its own court 72-55.



UPDF - Charging Rhinos 61-65

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Charging Rhinos and 12th ranked UPDF had identical 1-7 record. But UPDF was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kampala 65-61 on Wednesday night. Charging Rhinos forced 19 UPDF turnovers. Forward Abel Omomgin (-89) stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international center Sam Gombya (213-89) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Charging Rhinos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Henry Okoth (-99) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Felix Mukunzi (193) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Despite that victory Charging Rhinos went down to eleventh position due to points difference. UPDF lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom place with eight games lost. Charging Rhinos will meet at home higher ranked Sharing Youth (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UPDF will play against City Oilers (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Kampala where 10th ranked Charging Rhinos (2-7) were defeated by eleventh ranked Ndejje (2-5) 73-60 on Saturday. Salim Kisily stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and guard Innocent Ochera (-97) chipped in 15 points. Four Ndejje players scored in double figures. Forward Swaib Kalungi responded with 17 points and 4 assists and forward Abel Omomgin (-89) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ndejje moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Charging Rhinos dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Ndejje will meet at home higher ranked City Oilers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Charging Rhinos will play against Sharing Youth (#6) and hope to secure a win.
