The long waited NBL season surely billed and matched up the expectations of the fans in an epic 6 match opening. Defending Champions City Oilers felt the Power of the new faces at Betway Power as they were forced to throw away their 3 quarters' lead in the last period losing 56-64 to Arnold Lando's men. Oilers led 15-13, 35-29 and 45-43 in 3 three quarters respectively before Power overturned the result in the last quarter with new signing Stephen Wundi scoring a total of 15 points in the game same figure met by City Oilers' James Okello (194-PF-90). However, earlier on newly promoted Charging Rhinos made a statement when they defeated JKL Dolphins 62-57 a game that saw Nameke Brian score 21 points though weren't enough to stop Rhinos. Another NBL virgins KCCA men were taken to school by last season's finalist KIU Titans in an 86-55 show piece for the Titans on the night that saw Sudi Ulanga (181-G-88) and Chris Basheke scoring a total of 29 points all together. Another newly promoted side in the Women's category UMU Raven were dismantled by JKL Lady Dolphins with an 85-27 destruction while Sharing came from 3 quarters down to level scores 50-50 with Our Savior forcing the game into over time which they won 72-66.

NBL Round 8: Betway Power edges KIU Titans by two points - 3 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Fourth-ranked KIU Titans (8-4) made lots of trouble for first ranked Betway Power (12-1) on Friday. Betway Power managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected easier game. Betway Power forced 21 KIU Titans turnovers.
