The waiting is no more for the dawn of the 2018-19 NBL season is right on the 12th-May inside the Lugogo MTN Arena. 12 teams in men's category and 10 in the women's category making their attempt to win the glorious price before some changing their intentions for survival. Defending Champions City Oilers will switch their task to hunting a 6th championship to level Falcons who were relegated in the 2017-18 season. Both Oilers and Power lay a total of 10 championships with each bossing with 5 City Oilers winning their in a consecutive run. In their bid for the dream they kick start with hungry Betway Power who they swept on the road to claiming their 5th. However, Power has not been a pushover for Oilers especially in the regular season winning twice last season before getting conquered at the semi final stage. With the Castle Lite Beer already coming on board, no doubt the league is set to be more competitive. Both Oilers and Power will each be seeking to collect its 6th championship while being conscience of Pemba Warriors, KIU Titans, UCU Canons and surprise teams with ambitions for the trophy as well. Oilers have their arsenal loaded with the coming of Jonathan Egau (190-F-93) and Ivan Muhwezi (98) while Power look boasted after signing a new deal with with their sponsor Betway as well as unveiling 7 players to bridge the gap created by Micheal Mikiadi's departure.
