KIU Titans outgunned UCU Canons to sweep the quarterfinal series. KIU Titans forced 26 UCU Canons turnovers. Tanzanian guard Sudi Ulanga (181-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Ethienne Kazungu (-80) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four KIU Titans players scored in double figures. KIU Titans' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Steven Wundi (-93) replied with 22 points and 4 assists and forward Brian Namake (-90) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for UCU Canons.

JKL Dolphins - Pemba Warriors 72-62

JKL Dolphins topped Pemba Warriors to even the series at 1-1. JKL Dolphins forced 23 Pemba Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 52-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Makala Libe (-95) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Daniel Orenga (186-96) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Forward Michael Buzangu (-82) produced 22 points and forward Amisi Saidi (-87) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Power outscored Ndejje on the road to complete the sweep. Power forced 22 Ndejje turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Kenyan power forward Mickeal Makiadi (199-89) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 20 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Sebaindira Fahmy (-91) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Four Power players scored in double figures. Kenyan guard Micheal Otieno (193-93) responded with 19 points and 6 steals and guard Innocent Ochera (-97) scored 19 points and 7 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.

City Oilers advanced into the semifinal stage as they knocked down Our Saviour. City Oilers had a 35-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Jimmy Enabu (187-88) notched 18 points and 9 assists to lead the effort and forward Ndikumana Landry (-93) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. City Oilers' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by Mulamba Nkumbi did not help to save the game for Our Saviour. Forward Steven Mwesigye added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Stapac Jakarta (IBL) agreed terms with 26-year old Ugandan international shooting guard Jordin Mayes (190-91kg-91, college: Arizona). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport.
