Forward Benard Okumu (F) had an amazing evening in the last round for Falcons and receives a Afrobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 31.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat UCU Canons (#4, 11-5) 75-68. Falcons is placed at 10th position in Ugandan league. Falcons is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-9 record. In the team's last game Okumu had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Falcons' top player in his first season with the team. Okumu has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.5ppg) and rebounds (9th best: 8.3rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Jimmy Enabu (187-G-88) of City Oilers. He is former international guard in his 5th season at City Oilers. In the last game Enabu recorded impressive 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led City Oilers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Ndejje (#6, 10-6) 92-50. This victory allowed City Oilers to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Enabu is one of the most experienced players at City Oilers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Chris Omanye (183-G-94) of KIU Titans (#3). Omanye scored 15 points. He was a key player of KIU Titans, leading his team to a 86-30 easy win against the lower-ranked Sharing Youth (#9, 5-15). KIU Titans needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 4 lost games. Omanye has a great season in Uganda. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.7apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Asiko Dickson (F) of Falcons - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Ndikumana Landry (F-93) of City Oilers - 12 points and 9 rebounds
6. Vinnie Jurua (F-89) of Falcons - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
7. Kijogoo Mwalimu (G) of KIU Titans - 10 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Nyong Juach (C-96) of UCU Canons - 11 points and 6 rebounds
9. Collin Kasujja (183-G-94) of KIU Titans - 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Brian Namake (F-90) of UCU Canons - 7 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
