City Oilers swept KIU Titans to claim NBL title. City Oilers outrebounded KIU Titans 52-34 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Parrish Petty (185-1988, college: UTRGV) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Sudanese center Titus Lual (201-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Petty is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four City Oilers players scored in double figures. The former international forward Edgar Munaba (196-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Mpiya Juf added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side.

The standout Sudanese center Titus Lual earned the Finals MVP of the championship-winning City Oilers Kampala. He received multiple other awards, picked up the Player of the Year, Center of the Year and was voted to the First Team. With Lual's excellent performance, the City Oilers Kampala achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 21 to 1 in the regular season. Lual's excellent performance assisted his team in beating the KIU Titans 4 to 0 in the final series. He was previously named the Center of the Year, and selected to the First Team back in 2019 and 2023, Honorable Mention back in 2022 and Player of the Year last year. Lual was the Player of the Week honoree twice during the 24 campaign. He averaged over 11 points and 9 rebounds per game in the league. Lual recorded double-doubles in 8 games at the event. His 25 points against the UCU Canons were the most he scored in the 2024 season. He won the Ugandan NBL championship title in 2023.
Joel Banza, point guard from the KIU Titans Kampala, was voted the Guard of the Year at the National Basketball League. He was also chosen to the First Team. Banza's best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the City Oilers 0 to 4. He registered over 10 points per game that season in the league. Banza received Player of the Week award in the league. He led the NBL in assists per game with over 6. Banza has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points and had double-doubles in game on the year. His 21 points against Livingstone were the most he scored in the 2024 season. He played in the final of the Ugandan NBL in 2023.
Peter Cheng, forward from the Namuwongo Blazers, was selected as the Forward of the Year of National Basketball League. He was also named to the First Team. Cheng was previously honored as the Forward of the Year and earned a spot in the First Team last year. He recorded over 8 rebounds per game over the season in the league. Cheng was voted Player of the Week in the league. He led the NBL in points per game with over 14. Cheng has totalled 7 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 9 games on the year. His 24 points against Kampala Rockets were the most he scored in the 2024 season. Cheng's team was the regular season runner-up in the Ugandan NBL in 2023.
Kasereka Tembo, guard from the KIU Titans Kampala, was voted to the First Team at the National Basketball League. He Tembo's best performance made his team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by the City Oilers 0 to 4. Tembo averaged 12 points per game in the league. He has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points on the year. Tembo's 33 points against the Power were the most he scored in the 2024 season. Among many awards he was selected to Afrobasket All-Ugandan NBL First Team this season.
Puati Kikomba, power forward from the Kampala Rockets, was selected to the First Team of National Basketball League. He Kikomba's consistent performance as a playmaker earned him the third ranked in points per game, showcasing an average of 13. Kikomba led the NBL in rebounds per game with over 13. He has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points and registered double-doubles in 15 games on the year. Kikomba's 25 points against the Ndejje Angels were the most he scored in the 2024 season.
