JKL Dolphins clinched NBL title. They held off KIU Rangers in Game 5 of the championship series to conquer the trophy. JKL Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to KIU Rangers' 20. JKL Dolphins forced 19 KIU Rangers turnovers. The former international power forward Hope Akello (183-1997) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Ritah Imanishimwe (173-1996) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. JKL Dolphins' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Perus Nyamwenge answered with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Mary Amaniyo (180-2003) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KIU Rangers.
