UCU celebrate Zuku title - May 6, 2015

UCU clinched the Zuku University Basketball League title. They eked out a tough 61:59 victory over last season's winners Makerere. UCU therefore avenved the last year's loss in the championship game. Velma Achieng scored 19 points to pace the winners. Purity Adhiambo (F) provided 18 points for UCU. Joy Chemutai stepped up with 28 points for Makerere. Nkumba earned the Bronze medals. They defeated Mubs 57:46 in the consolation final. The league will climax this weekend with an All-star game between Uganda and their Kenyan counterparts.
