Defending champion U.S. Monastir (ProA) inked experienced 34-year old Virgin Islander international point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida). He has a double citizenship as he also holds U.S. Virgin Islands passport. Hodge played in the summer at War Tampa (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. He ended the last season at Al Wehda (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league. But the most of that year Hodge spent at Sagesse (LBL) in Lebanese league where in four games he was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 22.0ppg and recorded .
Hodge also represented U.S. Virgin Islands at the Panamerican Games in Lima (Peru) last year. His stats at that event were 4 games: Score-1 (22.0ppg), 3.5rpg, Assists-4 (3.0apg), 1.3spg, FGP: 46.2%, 3PT-1 (66.7%), FT: 91.7%.
Hodge is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Hodge has played previously professionally in Dominican Republic, France (ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket), Italy, Poland (Stelmet Enea BC), Puerto Rico (Capitanes), Russia (Zenit), Spain (Baskonia) and Lebanon (Homentmen).
Among many awards Hodge's team made it to the Lebanese Cup final in 2019. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Import of the Year award between 2018 and 2019.
He attended University of Florida until 2009 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
