US Monastir secured a home-win over ES Sahel 73-59 at a Tunisia's Basketball Championship super playoff second-leg semi-final played on Saturday afternoon. The disciplinary commission of the Tunisian Basketball Federation (FTBB) had inflicted the penalty loss to US Monastir after withdrawing in the firs-leg semi-final. The match, played in Sousse, was stopped two seconds from the end following the withdrawal of the visitors in protest against a referee decision, while the score was 65-64 for ES Sahel. The two teams having each secured a win each will have to play a decider for a place in the final on April 18 in Sousse.
For their part, defending champions ES Rades qualified for the final after defeating ES Goulette 103-79 at the second-leg semi-final on Saturday in La Goulette. ES Rades had also won at the first-leg played last Monday in Rades. The game was stopped at the end of the first half, while the local club were leading 51 to 32. ES Goulette refused to resume the match invoking a lack of security.
