An interview with the 40 years old Head Coach Linos Gavriel , who succeeded a small miracle with his team, Etoiles Sportive Rades to the second position in the Pan African Games and at the top position in the regular season of the Tunisian League

Eurobasket: Hi Linos, thanks again for your time once more giving us a small feedback at your end of the world. So please tell me how do you feel this season in the Tunisian league in your third consecutive year in the African region, tell us a bit about your team, and this season's experience
Linos: We are really proud for what we did until now I am really proud for my players and all the coaching and medical stuff. Against all odds we manage to finish first, with a young team, without second foreign player (Cheyne Gadson left the team in the first month) and against really very good teams. Unfortunately we had the loss of our Team's Curator, Mr. Jalel Kalel this week , a man who was the heart and the soul of the team, a man that dedicate his life for Rades for 40 years. We talked with the guy in the locker room and we sworn that we will give everything we have in every game to win for him and to keep his memory alive through the team.

Eurobasket: How do you find your place in Rades? The fans? And also having in mind that you are at the top seat of the regular season, are you the favorite team to win the league?

Linos: I want to thank our fans that they were fantastic in the home and away games and without them we couldn't make it...we have long way to go yet, we are NOT the favorite team, for me club Africa and etoile du Sahel are quite strong and they have more experience in the super play offs but of course I have faith to my players and I believe we can compete until the end, every day my players get better, they grow, they are more mature and this is what makes me and my assistant Dimitris Varvounis very happy.

Eurobasket: How about the rest of the staff in the team?

Linos: Without the effort of Chetly Jdoula (statistic ) Hafed and Seif and all the committee that they help us the maximum we couldn't have good results ...Now we need to stay serious cause everybody want to win the first ,work hard and the rest will come.

Eurobasket: And lastly, what are your plans for the future?
Linos: Now it's too early for me! We have the super playoffs series the most crucial game of the season. M focused to my team and my players, we want to go as far as we can so I do not have any time to think of anything else, I'm dedicated of what I'm doing, in the future there will be a time to think over my options.

Thanks for your time..
