Ferroviario Beira (D1) landed 30-year old Togolese ex-international guard Jimmy Williams (196-86, college: Alderson-Broaddus, WV). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Williams played most recently at Al Ahli in Qatari D1 league. In 12 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 23.4ppg and recorded 6.8rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg last season.
Among other achievements he won Morocco Throne Cup championship title in 2013. Williams received also Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Co-Guard of the Year award in 2015. He represented Togo at the African Championships in Madagascar five years ago.
Williams is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Iran (Shahrdari Gorgan and Samen), Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Syria (Al Yarmouk), Tunisia (Tacapes), Mozambique (Desp.Maputo), Morocco (RSB Berkane), Iraq (Al Karkh), Libya (Ittihad) and Palestine (The Orthodox Club Ramallah and Ibdaa).
Williams attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
He attended Alderson-Broaddus , WV until 2008 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
