The hope of Togo of making any appreciable impact in group-D of the 26th FIBA Africa Championship for Men was completely shot-down Saturday by mobile Central Africa Republic side. Togo gave up the first quarter by 12-22 points but showed some promises in the second quarter winning by 19-15 points to cut down the margin between it the FIBA Africa Zone-4 nation to six points going into the break by 31-37 points, it continue the flare in the third quarter losing by just two points 17-19 points to enter the last quarter with eight points deficits of 48-56 points. And when many had thought that the Coach Guy Arneaud tutored Togolese side they gave in to the superior fire power of the Central Africa side losing the last quarter by 09-26 points for a final scores of 57-82 points.
