The reverse fixture between Togo and Nigeria was a game to behold as the togolaise side took the first quarter witn a 18-16 points lead but gave up the secon quarter as the Nigerian side fought back beating the Togo side to their game winning the quarter by 14-09 points for a three points advantage of 30-27 points at half-time.
Efforts by Togo to get back into the game was frustrated by the determined Nigerian side who were not prepare to drop a second game against the Togolaise wining the third quarter by 24-16 points to gain an 11 points advantage going into the last quarter of 54-43 points.
Nigeria again dominated the fourth quarter winning by 13-10 points for a final score-line of 67-53 to remain top of the series and a last game against Cote dIvoire at 17H00 Monday while Togo will end the elimination series against Benin Republic at 19H00.
Nigeria guard, Abubakar Usman scored a series high of 31 points, Mattew Omonye recorded double double effort of 12 rebounds and 11 points while Stanley Gumut added 13 points for Nigeria victory.
