The draw for the FIBA Africa Championship for Men Zone-III elimination was made Tuesday morning by the FIBA Africa Technical Commissioner, Mohamed Tateye at the Secretariat of Togo Basketball Federation in Lome with the four countries that entered for the qualifiers paired against one another in a home and away match-up.
The home team, Togo will open the series against Cote dIvoire at 17H00 while Benin Republic will take on nigeria at 19H00 in Day-1 of the elimination that will run from Tuesday, August 10 through Monday August 16, 2010.
The FIBA Africa Zone-III elimination series is for the 2011 Afrobasket slated for Abidjan, Cote dIvoire and the 10th All Africa Games.
Cote dIvoire as host of the 2011 Africa Basketball showpiece has automatic ticket leaving the remaining two tickets to be contested between Togo, Benin and Nigeria while Nigeria has qualified for the All Africa Games due to her third place finishing at the 9th All Africa Games held in Algiers, Algeria leaving Togo, Benin and Cote dIvoire to slug it for the one remaining ticket.
As host Togo will have its remaining games played at 19H00.
