Deng Adel (ex Boulazac) signs at Brisbane

Deng Adel

Brisbane Bullets (NBL) signed 27-year-old double-passport holder Sudanese 201cm forward Deng Adel (college: Louisville) for the upcoming season. He most recently played at Boulazac Basket Dordogne in French ProB. In 40 games, he averaged 7.7ppg, 3.0rpg, and 1.7apg last season, helping them reach the French ProB final. During the 2022-23 season, he played at Balkan in the Bulgarian league. Adel also had a pre-season stint at Bakken (BasketLigaen) in the Danish league.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. Adel is familiar with European, Australian, and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Bulgaria, Canada (Blackjacks), Denmark, NBA (Brooklyn Nets), Australia (Hawks), NBA G League (Maine Celtics, Cleveland Charge, Raptors 905 Mississauga, and Long Island Nets), and NBA Summer League (Houston Rockets).
Among many awards, he was voted to USBasket.com All-CEBL Honorable Mention in 2022.
Adel graduated from the University of Louisville in 2018, and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
