Balkan signs Deng Adel

Balkan-Botevgrad (NBL) signed 26-year old Australian-Sudanese forward Deng Adel (201cm-91kg-1997, college: Louisville, agency: Verus Management). Adel supposed to play at Bakken in Danish BasketLigaen, but left the team in Dec.'22. In 9 games he had 13.0ppg, 6.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.1spg this season. He also played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 8.8ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.5apg. The last summer he played at Ottawa Blackjacks (CEBL) in Canadian league. In 20 games he averaged impressive 16.1ppg, 6.0rpg and 4.5apg.
Adel is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in other USA team, NBA (Brooklyn Nets), Australia (Illawarra Hawks), NBA G League (Maine Celtics, Cleveland Charge, Raptors 905 Missisauga and Long Island Nets) and NBA Summer League (Houston Rockets). His team made it to the CEBL Semifinals in 2022. Adel was voted to USBasket.com All-CEBL Honorable Mention in 2022.
He graduated from University of Louisville in 2018 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
