Basketball- Arab Club Basketball Championship: US Monastir qualify for quarter-finals

Tunisia's US Monastir qualified for the quarter finals of the Arab Club Basketball Championship, after defeating Sudan's Al-Almani 98-63 at a Group A day-3 game played on Thursday afternoon in Sale, Morocco. This is the third win secured by the Tunisian club who had defeated Egypt's Al Ittihad of Alexandria (87-81) on Monday and Morocco's Far Rabat (88-59) on Wednesday. Top two finishers of each group as well as the two best third-ranked clubs will qualify for the quarter-finals scheduled fo October 29. The semi-finals will take place on October 30, whereas the finals and the placement match for the 3rd place will be played on October 31.
