Ater Majok
Trefl Sopot (TBL) inked 28-year old Sudanese center Ater Majok (208-106kg-87, college: Connecticut, agency: Relativity Sports). He played most recently at Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-League) in the U.S.. In 23 games he recorded 5.7ppg, 5.3rpg and 2.8bpg last season.
The previous (13-14) season Majok was tested by Taiwan Beer (SBL) in Taiwanese league. He also played at BG Goettingen (BBL) in German league that season. In 23 games he averaged 4.3ppg and 3.3rpg in 2013-14 season. He helped them to win the league title. The other team Majok played that season for was KCC Egis (KBL) in South Korean league. In 12 games he averaged 6.7ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.2bpg in 2013-14 season.
In 12-13 season he played at Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) in Belarus. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and Majok was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 6 Premier League games he averaged 9.3ppg and 6.8rpg in 2012-13 season. He also played 10 games in EuroChallenge where he averaged 4.9ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.1bpg in 2012-13 season. Majok also played 13 games in VTB United League where he averaged 4.2ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.1bpg in 2012-13 season. He also spent pre-season at Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (Winner League) in Israel that year.
In 2011 (a year after he left the college) Majok was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (58th overall). He attended University of Connecticut until 2010 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements Majok received Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian League Honorable Mention award back in 2012.
He has played also professionally in Turkey, NBA (LA Lakers) and Slovakia (Nitra).

He is comfortable using both hands and shows good timing when going after shots ... He alters numerous plays and has the capacity to be a formidable post and help defender ... Desite his slight frame, he isn't afraid of physical play, hustles hard and will get after loose balls. He is active on the offensive boards and finds his man on the defensive end, however due to mainly his lack of strength in the past, he has not been a dominant rebounder up to this point ... He has also had some difficulties with foul trouble playing the 4/5 spot.
