Central Coast Crusaders (NBL One) signed 28-year-old double-passport holder South Sudanese center Matur Maker (208cm-96kg-1998). He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Garric Young signed here earlier. He played last summer at Maristes in Lebanese DLBL. He also played for Al Nasr Benghazi (D1) in Libyan league.
He was a member of the Australian Under 19 National Team in 2016.
Maker is a highly experienced player, having played in eleven different countries on five different continents - Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and North America. He has played in Canada (Athlete Institute, and Prolific Prep North), Italy, Lebanon, New Zealand (Giants and Rams), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli), Slovenia (Zlatorog), Switzerland (Union Neuchatel Basket), Taiwan, Australia (Kings and Rockets), NBA G League (Rio Grande Valley Vipers), and NBA Summer League (Denver Nuggets).
He won the Australian NBL championship title in 2022. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com Slovenian League All-Defensive Team in 2019.
