Al Ahly adds Washington to their roster

Delicia Washington

Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) added 28-year-old American (who also has a South Sudanese passport) guard Delicia Washington (178cm-1997, college: Clemson) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. She joins fellow USA player Rose Macuei on the team. Washington played for Fuerza Regia in the Mexican LNBPF last season, putting up impressive stats of 16.2ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.1apg, and 1.8spg in 19 games, helping them reach the semifinals. She was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBPF Honorable Mention team for her performance. In the previous season, she played for Club Joventut Badalona in the Spanish league and also for IDK Euskotren San Sebastian in Spain. Washington received a call-up to the South Sudanese Senior National Team this year.
She is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career, she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America) in four different countries. Washington has played professionally in Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Italy (San Martino), and Spain (Gran Canaria).
She won the Mexican LNBPF championship title in 2024. She was also selected as the All-SEC Co-Freshman of the Year in 2017.
Washington graduated from Clemson University in 2022 and it will be her fourth season as a pro player. She also played for University of Florida for 3 years.
