Kur Kuath (ex Hamburg) is a newcomer at Gran Canaria

Draemland Gran Canaria (Liga Endesa) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American (has also South Sudanese passport) power forward Kur Kuath (208cm-100kg-1998, college: Marquette) for season 2025-26. Kuath played last season at Veolia Towers Hamburg in German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 32 BBL games he recorded 11.4ppg, 7.1rpg (#2 in the league), 1.2apg and 1.6bpg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played 16 games in Eurocup where he averaged 10.6ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.6apg, 1.0spg and 1.6bpg.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Hiopos Forca Lleida in Spanish Primera FEB. In 39 games he got 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.3bpg in that year. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP and selected to Honorable Mention. Kuath has been regularly called to South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2022.
He has played previously professionally in Greece (Lavrio) and Spain (Ourense).
Kuath won NJCAA D1 District I championship title in 2018.
He graduated from Marquette University in 2022 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player. Kuath played for other colleges like: The University of Oklahoma, Salt Lake Community College, Western Wyoming Community College.
