Mangok Mathiang

Korea Gas Corporation (KBL) signed 32-year old Australian-South Sudanese ex-international center Mangok Mathiang (208cm-100kg-1992, college: Louisville). He started the season at Ningbo Rockets in Chinese CBA league. In 46 games he had 12.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1bpg. The last season season he played at Ramat Gan (Winner League) in Israeli league. He also played for Breakers (NBL) in Australia.
Mathiang was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. He played for Australian Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the Under 22 National Team in 2015.
Mathiang represented Australia at the FIBA World Cup 2019 Qualifiers six years ago. During this event he scored an average of 6 points per game and had 4 rebounds per game.
He is quite experienced player. Mathiang has played in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (Hawks and Cavaliers), China, Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Italy (Cremona), Slovenia (Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana), Turkey (Bahcesehir), NBA (Charlotte Hornets) and NBA G League (Greensboro Swarm).
Among many awards his team won Italian Cup in 2019. Mathiang was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Honorable Mention back in 2020.
He graduated from University of Louisville in 2017 and it is his eighth season as a professional player.
